About

Think Tiny Homes Northumberland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and enabling the entire spectrum of housing options in Northumberland County, Ontario.

We recognize that solving the housing crisis will take more than just supporting traditional development, and that tiny homes can fill a need by providing adequate housing as Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) in a way that can be faster and more affordable than traditional housing. We also recognize that many people desire a relatively simple and environmentally sustainable lifestyle, and that living with a smaller footprint can be an important part of that lifestyle.

So we advocate with the municipalities in Northumberland County in support of simplified zoning and streamlined approval processes, to make it easier to get tiny homes in backyards (and front and centre!) across the county.
